One word: Wow. Children's design shop Molly-Meg has just introduced these *stunning* wooden 'Enzo' pull-along toys, £54, from furniture and toy designers Studio delle Alpi. Made from beautiful quality 18mm plywood, and silkscreen-printed with neon yellow stars (pictured above) and bright turquoise Eames-inspired starburst pattern (below), the design and shape were inspired by Enzo Ferrari, master of speed and Enzo Mari, master of wooden toys. The toys have been crafted with impeccable attention to detail - digitally cut, water-based coated and assembled entirely by hand. If you haven't heard of Studio delle Alpi before, they're a young design studio founded in February 2012, with a mission to produce simple, lively and original objects in a sustainable way. Collaborating with local craftsmen, each piece is individually silkscreen-printed and hand-assembled in Belgium and Luxembourg. They use simple plywood materials with the addition of colourful pattern to make each piece totally unique. And Enzo is no exception. So if you're looking for something a little bit special and a little bit different this Christmas (yes there's still time to order and receive them before the big day!), then why not give him a whirl? A wonderful gift, a beautiful toy, a stylish room accessory - and a long-lasting keepsake to be treasured forever.
