When it comes to children's parties, we believe that the invitations are as important as the tableware and decorations - and even more so if you are planning a special theme for the event. The stationery not only gives the party guests a flavour of things to come, but it lasts way longer than the paper plates and napkins, and is a lovely souvenir of the day to put away and treasure in their memory box. So, when we celebrated our son's first birthday a couple of weeks ago, we were delighted to stumble across British stationery design studio Lola's Paperie. With a beautiful range of bespoke stationery for weddings, parties and special celebrations (as well as a stunning collection of prints for the wall), every creation is lovingly designed and customised by Jodi herself. She has an existing range of gorgeous children's party invitations which she can adapt through both the text/wording and the colour palette, or she can design something completely unique to you, as she did for us (below, and you can read the full blog post here): We have selected a few of our favourite designs from her existing range, all of them perfect for parties this summertime. The top picture is 'ahoy there', a lovely invitation for a nautical themed event. Below are 'swimming stan' and 'surfs up' - just the job for swimming/paddling pool/seaside-themes and party locations! The invitations come with stylish, natural kraft coloured envelopes which contrast beautifully with their crisp white background and bright colours. Prices depend on quantity and level of customisation but to give you an idea, they start from £10 for a set of 8. Not bad at all, given the outstanding quality of the paper stock and printing, coupled with the fabulous service you'll receive from Jodi. Speaking from experience, we would most definitely recommend.
