We're on a bit of a roll with bunk beds at the moment! From the fabulous house bed we showed you a couple of weeks ago to this amazing treehouse bed today, we're excited (and just a tiny bit relieved) that others are on our wavelength when we say that children's bunk beds don't have to be boring. Today's discovery, designed in Belgium by Mathy en Bols and brand new in at the lovely Nubie children's boutique is possibly one of our favourite beds ever. Available with lots of different options to make it completely unique to your child, including your choice of over 20 finishes and colours, and the option to include the extra trundle bed underneath (fab for room sharers and sleepovers) or not (under-bed-den alert!), one thing is for certain - this is one special piece of furniture that children will remember for the rest of their lives. Both the treehouse and the trundle bed take a standard single 90 x 190cm mattress, and so are large enough to last your child well into the tweenage years (and possibly beyond - for is it actually possible to grow out of a bed like this one?!) And although the colours are pretty stunning, we have to say that the more authentic natural unfinished pine is our favourite. The treehouse bed itself costs £1,315 in the natural finish, with supplements for the other colours and an extra charge for the trundle bed underneath. It might seem like a lot of money, but trust us, once you have this in their bedroom, you really won't need much else. It's a stunning feature, a place to sleep, a place to play, a place to read - a place to generally do everything. A dream bed, really. We only wish they made them in doubles.
