Our little boy turned two last week. TWO! How did that happen?
And in true Bobby Rabbit style, we set to work planning a little party for him this weekend.
J loves bears - and we have to say, we think they're pretty cute too… So bringing bears into the overall theme seemed like a fun idea. We loved the idea of bright yellow too - such a fabulous, unisex colour just perfect for a summer birthday. So bears and yellow it was.
We stumbled across these adorable personalised invitations and thank you cards by British designer Petra Boase - it was the bear that caught our eye initially, and he had a yellow party hat too! What's more, he got the seal of approval from little J ("wowee - big bear on bike!"), so all was good. We were thrilled to meet the team at My Little Day recently, who kindly offered to supply the tableware, decorations and party bags - all yellow of course! - including this beautiful tassel garland which arrives as a 'create-your-own-pack' that is super simple to fold, twist and hang however you like. We loved the combination of geometric triangles and stripes - and the yellow striped favour boxes went down a treat as popcorn holders (as did the popcorn…) The cake (above and below) was made by a local bakery, and we sourced the Schleich bear from Amazon. I love that J will be able to keep and play with him for years to come - and see him on his birthday party pics! Last but not least, the party bags contained an array of treats, including these gorgeous party-themed tattoos (also from My Little Day): Such a lovely morning! Here's a pic of the little man as we all sang Happy Birthday.
