There's nothing we like more than a quick snack (and a game of cafes).
So, with this in mind we have gathered our favourite five wooden role play toys for budding chefs and cafe owners - and the good news is, they are all available in our brand new shop!
1. Crepe Shop £30
Our beautiful crepe set has been crafted in Japan by gg*. It includes a wooden chalkboard menu (and chalk), which doubles up as a hot plate for cooking all those delicious treats. And a mixture of colourful fillings and toppings, including strawberries, banana, pineapple and chocolate, not forgetting the crepes and the paper wraps for serving them up! One of those gorgeous toys that can be played with over and over again.
2. Sushi Set £38
Sushi is one of our all time favourites (along with crepes of course) and this wooden sushi set, also from gg* in Japan, is one of the most authentic we have seen - JUST like the real thing! It comes with 2 wooden serving plates, a whole host of delicious maki and sushi rolls, denim seaweed and even a bamboo rolling mat for the chef.
3. Kitchen Sink by Brio £45
It's no good having all the food if you don't have the kitchen... This smart red kitchen sink by Swedish toy experts Brio is designed to sit alongside our kitchen stove to create the perfect working space for budding chefs! Wash your hands in the sink and store away all your goodies away in the cupboard underneath.
4. Picnic Hamper, £35
It may be cold outside, but what's to stop us from inviting all the teddies and setting up an indoor picnic? With this fab little picnic set from France, they will have everything they need to do just that. 4 beakers, 4 plates and 4 sets of cutlery, all beautifully packaged together with a red and white tablecloth inside a cardboard carry case.
Last but not least, this wooden fruit and veg puzzle by French toy brand Janod is a lovely gift for babies and toddlers this holiday season. It is a jigsaw puzzle AND a fruit and veg set all rolled into one - and the best bit? Flip over the jigsaw and it becomes a chopping board for slicing and dicing all those yummy fresh ingredients.
